If you know of an emergency involving animal injury, cruelty or neglect, you should immediately contact yourlocal SPCAto make a complaint.



If you live in the Auckland area, our emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on 09 2567300.



You will be asked to supply the following details and we ask that you give as much information as possible (your details are strictly confidential):

your name, address and phone number, which allows us to contact you to advise outcomes


the exact location of the animal and a clear description of the animal; i.e. species, breed, colouring, and condition


the registration number and description of any vehicles involved


the name and address of the person/s you think may have committed an offence, if known to you


the date, time and place of the accident or offence


advise if you are prepared to testify in court
